God's Remedy For Holiday Stress
1 Peter 5:7 (AMPC) gives clear instructions: “Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.”
This verse reminds us that God doesn’t just care about us—He cares for us. We aren’t designed to carry the weight of stress, and we don’t have to.
Last week, we discussed, "Why Are The Holidays So Stressful." Click HERE to read that article.
Today, I want to discuss God's Remedy For Holiday Stress.
Here’s what the Word teaches about living stress-free:
Cast your burdens on the Lord (Psalms 55:22). Release the weight and trust Him to sustain you.
Pray instead of worrying (Philippians 4:6-7). Prayer brings peace that surpasses understanding, guarding your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
Rest in His promises (John 14:1). Refuse to let your heart be troubled or agitated.
Choose Rest Over Stress
The holidays don’t have to leave you exhausted and overwhelmed. God offers a better way—a life free from stress and full of His peace. Trust Him, cast your cares on Him, and experience the rest that only He can provide.
This season, let your heart be light, not troubled. You’ll find that when you release the weight of stress to God, He sustains you with His unfailing love and peace.
A Surprising Stress-Buster: Worship
Recent studies have shown that attending a house of worship just once a week can extend life expectancy by nearly a decade.
Why?
Because praise releases the stress that we often bottle up inside.
When we worship, we shift our focus from our problems to God’s power, allowing Him to fill us with His peace.
Say, “I cast the pressure and stress. I choose instead to enter into His rest!”
