Trust God Through Workplace Challenges
I recently received this prayer request, and I felt led to share my response with you.
Prayer Request:
Hi. Please pray for me. I work for the Federal Government and I am having a really hard time with what’s happening. There is a lot of change that’s happening and mentally it’s been hard to get a grip on things. There’s been thousands of layoffs and some that could be coming. I’m praying for myself but it’s really tough because we are being constantly bombarded with all that’s been happening. We are being sent emails daily and nightly to update us with all the changes. Sometimes I am afraid to check my work phone after hours out of fear that I could have been sent a termination notice.
My Response:
Thank you for reaching out.
I want to encourage you today! God sees you, He knows exactly what you’re facing, and He is with you in the middle of it all.
The uncertainty may feel overwhelming, but you are not alone. His Word promises that He will never leave you nor forsake you.
Even in times of uncertainty, He remains unshaken, and you can lean on Him for strength and wisdom.
Take a deep breath and remember that your job is not your source, God is!
He is your provider, your sustainer, and the One who holds your future securely in His hands.
Instead of fearing each email, I encourage you to shift your focus to trusting that no matter what happens, God has a plan for you—one that is for your good and not for harm.

Let’s pray:
Father, I lift up my friend to You right now. You see the stress, the uncertainty, and the fear they are facing, and I ask that You surround them with Your perfect peace.
Remind them that You are their provider, their protector, and their source of strength. Give them wisdom to navigate this uncertainty with confidence, knowing that You are guiding them every step. Let doors of opportunity open in ways they never expected, and may they experience Your favor in this season.
Thank You for being a God who cares and who makes a way where there seems to be no way. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
