Hear Recession, Speak Provision

Hear Recession, Speak Provision

We keep hearing this word recession and I want to give you some clarity.

A recession is two consecutive quarters of economic downturn in the gross domestic product, meaning there has been a slowdown for at least two successive quarters in trade and activity.

Our federal government is increasing interest rates in an effort to slow down spending and borrowing. They believe that if they can slow down spending and borrowing, they can drop prices. And if prices drop, they think they can get us out of inflation.

Consequently, as interest rates increase, businesses and companies begin to slow down their spending and borrowing. And when they slow down, what typically happens is employees begin to get laid off, fired, and/or a massive hiring freeze.

On the flip side, if you have some money in a savings account, your interest rate on your savings account should also increase. I want to pastor you today. If your interest rate on your savings account is not increasing, go get another savings account with a higher interest rate. Let them give you more money from interest for not spending money.

But when you hear this word recession, I don't want you to think about getting laid off or how tough and difficult things are going to be for you.

When you hear the word recession, I want you to think of provision.

I want you to think about God's provision.

When things are slowing down, God is still providing for you.

When people are not getting their needs met, your needs are getting met.

When people are in fear and in disarray of what's going to happen to our economy, you are in God's economy.

You are a child of God. He is the King of His kingdom and you are not just a citizen but a son or daughter of the King Himself.

A good King will always provide for His children.

If you are a good parent, would you provide for your children?

Would you sacrifice and go without so that your children could have absolutely everything they need?

Thank God that He is rich.

He will never go without and He'll make sure that you and I will never go without as well.

So when you hear recession, I want you to shout provision.

When the television says recession, shout provision.

When social media says recession, shout provision

When your employer says recession, shout provision.

When your family member says recession, shout provision

God will provide.

God can get anything to you, from anyone, anywhere, at any time.

Don't let anything alarm you.

Don't let any negativity coming from the news media alarm you.

Don’t let the midterm elections alarm you.

You are a kingdom child and the King takes good care of His children!

Psalm 37:25
I have been young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his descendants begging bread.

As you financial give this month, give knowing that God is your provider. You are prosperous because of Jesus.

When you give today, you are planting seeds that will enable TrueLife Fellowship Church to GROW and reach MORE people. With your provision, we shall continue to expand our reach and fulfill our mission so that people will experience true life.

We declare that you will go forward, accelerate and make room for the new in 2022!

Stacy and I love you and we pray for you all of the time!
